"We've had maybe two practices in the last 12 days, so you've got a young guy who's taking shots from guys like me, not from Johnny T [Tavares]. It's tough. Oliver Bjorkstrand RW CLB
Oliver Bjorkstrand scored his second goal in three games Sunday.

Columbus Dispatch
Bjorkstrand had a great 2015-16 season and had eight points in 12 games with Columbus so it was thought he would have no trouble cracking the Blue Jackets lineup last fall. Well, he had trouble and was sent to the minors but his recent recall, albeit on an emergency basis, has shown Columbus what they thought they were supposed to get at the start of the season. He is worth stashing for next season in keeper pools.
Look for Ron Hainsey to be dealt at deadline 02-20-2017
Ron Hainsey D CAR
With the Carolina Hurricanes seemingly out of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference, Ron Hainsey likely will be gone by the March 1 deadline.

Raleigh News & Observer
The Hurricanes currently are last in the East with 56 points and they have to climb over eight teams and make up at least nine points on eighth place Toronto, to make it into the playoffs. That's not happening and the Hurricanes are likely the third team to be sellers. Hainsey is the NHL record holder as he has played in 890 games without ever seeing post-season action. With an expiring contract, the Canes should send him elsewhere as every playoff contender is looking for defensive depth.

"I'm still going to be a positive guy and a good guy smiling around the room because it's not my teammates' fault," he said. "I put myself in this position by my play. There's no point in taking that out on them. You still have to be there and help them along the way. I want to be able to hang my hat on being a pro, and that's what being a pro is about."
