Jamie Benn sustained a broken nose in Saturday night's game against Washington.

Dallas Morning News
The good news is that after he sustained the break he returned to action with a visor on. It looks like Benn will be able to continue playing with the injury, although it may slightly impact his effectiveness.

Drew Miller LW DET
Drew Miller was waived by the Red Wings on Sunday prior to their match with the Rangers.

Gregg Krupa on Twitter
Odds are he'll pass through waivers and be sent down to AHL Grand Rapids, but we won't know until tomorrow. The veteran winger has posted six points along with 30 blocks and 45 hits in 34 games this season, and carries and is on a one-year pact worth $1.025M.

Marcus Kruger C CHI
Marcus Kruger was skating on his own and doing some faceoff work Sunday morning.

Rielly may be out until after AS break 01-22-2017
Morgan Rielly D TOR
There is a chance tht Morgan Rielly will miss both of Toronto's remaining pre-All-Star break games.

Toronto Sun
He is dealing with a lower-body injury and the rest may do him some good. Consider Rielly day-to-day but don't be surprised if he is not in the lineup until after next weekend.
J.T. Brown may be close to a return 01-22-2017
J.T. Brown LW TB
J.T. Brown may be nearing a return to action.

Tampa Bay Times
He has been out of action the past two weks due to an upper-body injury but is now practising with his Tampa teammates. Although Brown is valuable to the Bolts, he is not a fantasy asset.
Kucherov finally shooting more 01-22-2017
Nikita Kucherov RW TB
Nikita Kucherov had a stong game against the Coyotes Saturday night.

Tampa Bay Times
Although he leads the Lightning in goals scored with 17, Kucherov has hardly been taking any shots on goal. In his last four games before Saturday, Kucherov had taken only eight shots on goal. Saturday against Arizona, he directed six shots towards Mike Smith. As shooting is a pre-condition to scoring, that is good news for Kucherov owners.
Condon should start v Jackets Sunday 01-22-2017
Mike Condon G OTT
Despite playing Saturday night against Toronto, Mike Condon should get the call against the Blue Jackets Sunday.

Ottawa Citizen
The Senators have no trouble starting Condon back-to-back nights as he will be making his 12th consecutive start. He is coming off a 31-save, 3-2 win over Toronto Saturday night and shutout Columbus on Thursday 2-0. We like his chances on Sunday.
Andrei Markov skates Saturday 01-22-2017
Andrei Markov D MON
Andrei Markov resumed skating Saturday as he tries to come back from a groin muscle injury.

Habs Inside Out
This is good news as Markov had stopped skating Thursday when the recovery progress had seemingly come to a halt. We do not expect Markov to return to action before the All-Star break, although a return soon thereafter is a possibility.
Price sharp but on a big losing streak 01-22-2017
Carey Price G MON
Carey Price was sharp stopping 35 shots Saturday night, but he still lost.

Montreal Gazette
It was Price's fifth loss in his last six starts. Although Price is still one of, if not, the best goalie in the NHL, he is slummping at the moment.
Trocheck scoring streak comes to end 01-22-2017
Vincent Trocheck C FLA
Vincent Trocheck's scoring streak was halted at six.

Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel
With no points against the Canucks on Friday night, Trocheck's six-game points' streak and four-game goal-scoring streak, both came to an end. During the streak, Trocheck registered 10 points, inlcuding five goals. Although the Panthers are struggling, Trocheck has certainly stepped up after the injury to Aleksander Barkov.
Bjugstad could return right after AS break 01-22-2017
Nick Bjugstad C FLA
There is a good chance that Nick Bjugstad could return to action right after the All-Star break.

Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel
He has missed the last two weeks with a groin injury but seems on the verge of a return. Get ready to activate Bjugstad after next weekend.
Petrovic may play before All-Star break 01-22-2017
Alex Petrovic D FLA
It is possible that Alex Petrovic will play a game before the All-Star break.

Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel
Panther's GM and interim coach Tom Rowe told reporters that Petrovic could play in the team's final game before the All-Star break Thursday night against the Lightning. He has been out of action since November 15th with a broken ankle.
Kronwall not listed on Sunday's roster 01-22-2017
Niklas Kronwall D DET
Niklas Kronwall will likely not play Sunday afternoon against the Rangers.

Brendan Savage Twitter
He is not listed on the roster sheet, and although he can be added later, it does not look like he is over a groin injury that has kept him out of action for the past three weeks.
Abdelkader playing on 4th line for now 01-22-2017
Justin Abdelkader LW DET
Justin Abdelkader will continue to play on the Red Wings' fourth line until he is in game shape.

Detroit Free Press
Abdelkader returned this past week from a knee injury that had him sidelined since December 1st and Detroit coach Jeff Blashill likes to bring his players back into the lineup gradually after lengthy absences. Look for Abdelkader to play a game or two more on the fourth unit before being moved up.
Mrazek likely to start v NYR Sunday 01-22-2017
Petr Mrazek G DET
Look for Petr Mrazek to get the start Sunday afternoon against the Rangers.

Left Wing Lock
Mrazek played his first good game in a while against the Sabres on Friday night and in one career appearance against the Rangers he sports a 1.95 GAA and .920. Looks like a Mrazek start to us. Make sure you have him active early as the game begins at 12:30 pm EST!
Lehner save in OT has everyone in disbelief 01-22-2017
Robin Lehner G BUF
Robin Lehner's save in overtime off an Alex Galchenyuk shot made it possible for the Sabres to defeat the Canadiens Saturday night. If you haven't seen this glove stop, you're missing something. Lehner dove, avoided Evander Kane who was in the crease, and prevented Galchenyuk from scoring into what was seemingly an open net. Here is a link to the stop.
Mcabe did not play Saturday v Habs 01-22-2017
Jake McCabe D BUF
Jake McCabe did not play Saturday night against the Canadiens.

John Vogl Twitter
He sustained a shoulder injury in Friday's game against the Red Wings and did not travel with his teammates to Montreal. Consider McCabe day-to-day for now.
Kevan Miller out v Pens Sunday 01-22-2017
Kevan Miller D BOS
Kevan Miller will not play Sunday against Pittsbrugh.

Joe Haggerty Twitter
He is still dealing with concussion symptoms. Consider Miller day-to-day.
Rask likely starter v Penguins Sunday 01-22-2017
Tuukka Rask G BOS
Tuukka Rask will likely get the start against the Penguins Sunday afternoon.

Left Wing Lock
Bruin coach Claude Julien is under fire and we would be shocked if he did not go with his best against a strong Pittsburgh club. Rask is coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Chicago in which he stopped 21 shots. For the season, Rask sports a very fine 22-11-4 record with a 2.08 GAA and .920 SP.
Mikkel Boedker back on second unit 01-22-2017
Mikkel Boedker RW SJ
Mikkel Boedker is playing on the second line with Logan Couture and Joonas Donskoi.

San Jose Mercury News
Boedker got off to a horrific start to the season but has played better of last with four of his six goals coming earlier in the month. He has not picked up a point in his last five games but that seems to be the norm for Boedker this season. He will lose his spot as a top-six forward once Tomas Hertl and/or Timo Meier return from injury.
Timo Meier misses second straight game Satur. 01-22-2017
Timo Meier RW SJ
Timo Meier missed his second straight game Saturday with an upper body injury.

San Jose Mercury News
The talented forward was picked ninth overall in 2015 and has plenty of offensive upside. He has two goals and four points in 15 games but his upside as mentioned earlier is high. He is worth grabbing in all keeper leagues.
Brian Dumoulin partakes in full contact 01-22-2017
Brian Dumoulin D PIT
Brian Dumoulin partook in his first full contact practice Saturday since breaking his jaw on December 27.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
"It was good to be able to push people around and get back to a little bit of physicality for the first time since I broke my jaw," Dumoulin said after the Penguins' brief afternoon practice. "It was good to get out there and be cleared for physical contact. I think that's a good step." Dumoulin has seven points in 35 games and is expected to return in mid-late February.
Islanders finally score on the power play 01-22-2017
Doug Weight C NYI
The New York Islanders scored three times on the power play Saturday after going 0-21 entering the game.

New York Newsday
Coach Doug Weight was coaching the power play under deposed coach Jack Capuano and took full responsibility for the lack of scoring. "I take a lot of the blame because we had trouble on the entries. They were standing up at the blue line. We pre-scouted and talked about it, but I don't know that I gave the best remedy for it," Weight said. "It was a good challenge for me and I probably didn't react well enough. We've talked about personnel and I just know we have the skill to do it." Well, he managed to turn it around Saturday and that's good news for the Islanders.
White-hot John Tavares scores again Saturday 01-22-2017
John Tavares C NYI
John Tavares scored a power play goal Saturday in a 4-2 win over the Kings.

New York Newsday
Tavares has been white-hot of late with eight goals in his last five games. He chipped in with an assist as well Saturday and it was his first helper in the five games. Tavares is up to 19 goals and 36 points this season and is a must-start in pools.
Grabner leads NHL in even strength goals 01-22-2017
Michael Grabner LW NYR
Michael Grabner leads the NHL in even strength goals with 20.

New York Daily News
Grabner scored shorthanded against the Leafs Thursday for his first non even strength goal and has 21 on the season. Grabner played for Toronto last season and coach Mike Babcock praised the winger who only scored nine times for him. "He was on his way," Babcock said. "He had so many chances. He was snakebitten, but he got his confidence back. Grabs was a guy we really liked here. He did a real good job for us. We would've loved to have kept him, but we felt with the wingers we had coming, one of these young kids wouldn't have got any ice time." He certainly has benefited the Rangers this season. Grabner is a must start, even if he sees little, if any, power play time.
Pavel Zacha scores on Saturday 01-22-2017
Pavel Zacha C NJ
Pavel Zacha scored his fourth of the season Saturday.

The Bergen Record
The Devils first pick and sixth overall in 2015 has two goals in his last three games as it appears that he is getting used to the NHL. He is going to be a good one and now may be the best time to buy low in keeper leagues. He has no value in one-year pools but has nice upside on the keeper side.
Cory Schneider still not feeling great 01-22-2017
Cory Schneider G NJ
Cory Schneider suffered a setback Saturday from his illness.

The Bergen Record
While he felt better Friday, Saturday was a bit of a relapse and although he was the backup goalie, he still wasn't feeling well. Schneider is 14-14-7 with a 2.69 GAA and a .910 save percentage. He has not been the fantasy goalie like the last couple of seasons but he is capable of breaking loose at any time.
Mike Cammalleri has two assist night 01-22-2017
Mike Cammalleri LW NJ
Mike Cammalleri had a couple of assists Saturday.

The Bergen Record
Cammalleri has been in a terrible slump of late with only a goal and six points in his previous 23 games. He had 14 points in eight games before that so perhaps this is the start of another hot streak. He has 10 goals and 25 points in 42 games this season, so he has been a marginal fantasy player in deeper pools.
Damon Severson blocks six shots Saturday 01-22-2017
Damon Severson D NJ
Damon Severson was a force on the blueline Saturday as he blocked six shots in a 4-1 win over Philadelphia.

The Bergen Record
Severson was also a plus-one but his minus-22 rating this season leaves a lot to be desired. He has 22 points including three goals in 48 games thus far but the plus/minus really hurts his fantasy value.
Jeff Carter scores his 24th of the season 01-22-2017
Jeff Carter C LA
Jeff Carter scored his 24th goal of the season Saturday.

Carter is second in the NHL in goal scoring, trailing only Sidney Crosby who is three ahead of the veteran. The 32-year-old has 41 points in 48 games and leads the Kings in points. He is a must start this season in what should be his first 30 goal season since 2010-11.
Nic Dowd suffers lower body injury 01-22-2017
Nic Dowd C LA
Nic Dowd suffered a lower body injury in the second period Saturday and did not return.

Consider him day-to-day for now. "I mean, you guys, you saw it," coach Darryl Sutter said. "I haven't talked to him. I mean, literally, he tried it and couldn't go. I couldn't see where it was because it was down from our bench, so we'll see. He was walkin'." Dowd has four goals and 16 points thus far with a minus-12 rating rendering him a fantasy non-entity in most pools.
Adam Larsson has three assist night 01-22-2017
Adam Larsson D EDM
Adam Larsson had three assists in the Oilers 7-3 win over provincial rival Calgary Saturday.

Edmonton Sun
Larsson has been scoring a bit more of late with six assists in his last seven games. He has two goals and 12 points in 48 games thus far and while that is not great, he is improving. He filled up the stats sheet Saturday with a plus-three rating, four hits and three blocked shots. He is not worth owning in most standard leagues however.
Dennis Wideman plays in 800th NHL game 01-22-2017
Dennis Wideman D CAL
Dennis Wideman played in his 800th career NHL game Saturday.

Calgary Sun
Wideman was selected in the eighth round in 2002 by the Sabres. The defenseman had 56 points two seasons ago but that seems like a long time ago in fantasy hockey as he has three goals and 15 points in 42 games. He chipped in with an assist Saturday and is on a three game points streak but his fantasy value is not high at this time.
Garnet Hathaway skating on his own 01-22-2017
Garnet Hathaway RW CAL
Garnet Hathaway (upper body) has skated on his own the last two days.

Calgary Sun
That's good news for Flames fans as the rugged winger has been missed in the lineup. He has five points with 44 minutes in the sin bin in only 24 games. Look for Hathaway to return this week or next to the lineup.
Brian Elliott takes loss in relief appearance 01-22-2017
Brian Elliott G CAL
Brian Elliott took the loss Saturday after relieving Chad Johnson early in the first period.

Calgary Sun
Elliott stopped 23 of 26 shots after Johnson was able to stop one-of-four before being pulled. The Flames scored a couple of meaningless goals in the third to tag Elliott with the loss. He is 8-11-2 with a 2.87 GAA and a .893 save percentage. He should not be owned in anything but the deepest of pools.
Mike Smith amazing when facing 40-plus shots 01-22-2017
Mike Smith G ARZ
Mike Smith is an amazing 5-0-2 this season when facing at least 40 shots on goal.

Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette
Maybe that should be the Coyotes strategy as he is 4-13-3 when less than 40 shots are sent this way. He obviously enjoys being busy and it certainly shows in the stats this season. He is 9-13-5 with a 2.99 GAA and a .915 save percentage. He is a number three goalie at best in deep pools.
Tobias Rieder has big game Saturday 01-22-2017
Tobias Rieder LW ARZ
Tobias Rieder scored once and added a pair of assists Saturday.

Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette
Rieder, Martin Hanzal and Radim Vrbata combined for 10 points in the Coyotes 5-3 win. The points snapped a six game pointless drought and gives the winger nine goals and 19 assists this season. He has been a very good find for the Coyotes with his two-way play. He was drafted late in the fourth round by Edmonton in 2011. While he is not worth a pick in fantasy, he contributes to the Coyotes in many ways other than the scoresheet.
Christian Fischer scores in NHL debut 01-22-2017
Christian Fischer RW ARZ
Christian Fischer made his NHL debut a more memorable one when he found the back of the net.

Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette
Fischer was selected in the second round, 32nd overall, in 2015 and put up big numbers for Windsor of the OHL last season with 40 goals and 90 points. He was flying in the AHL this season with 16 goals and 32 points in 31 games for Tuscon and started his NHL career off on the right foot with a goal. "As the game went on, I felt more and more comfortable," said Fischer. "Obviously first period, jitters are always an issue. Maybe gripping your stick a little tight but to get my first one out of the way and to get more comfortable as the game went on, I think it just grows my confidence and I'm excited to see where it can take me." The goal was the game winner and he is worth picking up in very deep drafts only at this time.
Martin Hanzal has three point night 01-22-2017
Martin Hanzal C ARZ
Martin Hanzal had a goal and two assists in the Coyotes 5-3 win Saturday.

Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette
Hanzal is a productive fantasy player but he has a problem staying healthy and that kills a lot of his fantasy value. Hanzal has 10 goals and 18 points in 38 games with 39 penalty minutes but his minus-15 rating is a tough stat to deal with if you play that category.
Stefan Noesen scores second of the season 01-22-2017
Stefan Noesen RW ANA
Stefan Noesen scored his second of the season Saturday.

Orange County Register
The forward was drafted 21st overall in 2011 by Ottawa and came over in the deal that brought Jakob Silfverberg to Anaheim and sent Bobby Ryan to Ottawa. He has been up and down numerous times this season and has two goals in 11 games thus far in the NHL in 2016-17.
Logan Shaw takes over Silfverberg's spot 01-22-2017
Logan Shaw RW ANA
Logan Shaw got the opportunity to take over the injured Jakob Silfverberg's spot on a line with Andrew Cogliano and Ryan Kesler.

Orange County Register
Shaw played a whopping 17:08 and had four hits while he was a minus-one. The former fourth liner has a goal and two points in 29 games. Silfverberg's injury isn't serious so don't expect Shaw to remain as a top-six forward for long.
Corey Perry scores ninth of the season 01-22-2017
Corey Perry RW ANA
Corey Perry scored for the second time this month in a 5-3 loss to Minnesota.

Orange County Register
It's hard to believe that the former 50 goal scorer and six-time 30-plus goal getter, has only nine this season in 49 games but that's what he has. He does have 25 assists but that was not what you were expecting when you drafted him so high in your pool. He has just two goals in his last 19 games so a breakout could be expected shortly.
Mikhail Grigorenko scores fifth goal in loss 01-22-2017
Mikhail Grigorenko RW COL
Mikhail Grigorenko scored his fifth goal of the 2016-17 season, but his efforts fell short as the Colorado Avalanche lost 3-2 to the San Jose Sharks in OT on Saturday. This marks his first goal since a tally in a loss to the Stars on Dec. 29. He's been on a bit of a hot streak lately overall, however, as he now has three points (1G, 2A) in his last four contests. He now has 15 points in 41 GP in 2016-17, barely managing more than one SOG per game (50 in those 41).
Spencer Martin falls to Sharks in NHL debut 01-22-2017
Spencer Martin G COL
Spencer Martin helped the Colorado Avalanche grab a standings point, but they ultimately fell 3-2 in overtime to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. Martin gave up three goals on 30 SOG in this one. The 21-year-old was drafted in the third round (63rd overall) in 2013 and has been playing pretty well at the AHL level so far in his career. There might be some potential there in the future, though one would guess it will still take a while for him to realize any of it in a meaningful way in fantasy.
David Schlemko scores OTGWG for Sharks 01-22-2017
David Schlemko D SJ
David Schlemko provided the OTGWG as the San Jose Sharks managed a 3-2 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. It was Schlemko's first OT game-winner in the NHL and the fourth GWG of his career. This marks his second tally and 10th point of 2016-17, breaking a seven-game pointless slump. That game featured all rare-scorers (the top scorer hit his fifth goal of the season), so Schlemko seems like an inspired choice to make the difference.
OT triumph gives Martin Jones his 24th win 01-22-2017
Martin Jones G SJ
Martin Jones continues to deliver at more or less the same level as his outstanding first season with the Sharks during his second campaign as their No. 1 guy. Jones nabbed a win on Saturday as San Jose edged the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in overtime. He's now 24-14-2 with a solid .917 save percentage and nice 2.24 GAA. It's plausible that he'll match or best 37 wins, the career-high he set last season. The Sharks took a leap of faith with Jones (he only had 34 games of experience at the NHL level before joining San Jose) and that's been looking like a wise decision.
Oilers quickly chase Chad Johnson on Saturday 01-22-2017
Chad Johnson G CAL
It was a short appearance for Chad Johnson on Saturday, as he was a big reason why the Calgary Flames fell 7-3 to the Edmonton Oilers. Johnson stopped one of four shots on goal in just under six minutes of ice time before the Flames saw enough. Brian Elliott had a rough game, too, giving up three goals on 26 shots. Johnson wasn't tagged with the loss, but you can say that he's either lost or had a rough night in three of his last four appearances. Elliott's likely in more control of the Flames' starting job at the moment.
Matt Read RW PHI
Matt Read returned to action on Saturday January 21.
Matthew Tkachuk keeps scoring, agitating 01-22-2017
Keven Bouchard G EDM
The Calgary Flames dropped a 7-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, but rookie Matthew Tkachuk continues to make his presence felt. Tkachuk scored one of Calgary's goals, giving him nine on this increasingly impressive season. Still, it was the 14 PIM that probably turned some heads. He now has 90 on the season; only Antoine Roussel has more with 98. He came into the NHL with a reputation for being a pestering presence, but even with that, most fantasy owners have to be delighted with his mean streak. Opponents? Not so much.
Jordan Eberle torches Flames with four points 01-22-2017
Jordan Eberle RW EDM
Jordan Eberle continues to put a slump behind him, most emphatically doing so on Saturday with a four-point output in the Edmonton Oilers' 7-3 win against the Calgary Flames. He generated two goals and two assists in this one, managing a +2 rating and six SOG in just 15:39 TOI. Eberle now has six points in his last four games to give him 32 on the season.
Laurent Brossoit gets his first NHL win 01-22-2017
Laurent Brossoit G EDM
Edmonton Oilers goalie Laurent Brossoit got his first career NHL win, and it happened against the team he drafted him, as Edmonton defeated the Calgary Flames 7-3 on Saturday. While Brossoit obviously received some hefty goal support, it was still a busy night, as he stopped 38 of 41 shots. He came into Saturday with a 0-5-1 record at this level. The 23-year-old generated respectable AHL numbers, although he actually struggled a bit this season, only managing a .908 save percentage with a 9-8-0 record for Bakersfield.
John Gibson suffers upper-body injury on Sat 01-22-2017
John Gibson G ANA
John Gibson left Saturday's eventual 5-3 loss for the Anaheim Ducks vs. the Minnesota Wild when a puck caught him up high early in the first period.

Ducks on Twitter
The Ducks don't have much of an update yet, merely deeming it an upper-body injury. Things didn't go well for Jonathan Bernier in Gibson's absence, so keep an eye out for transactions if Gibson can't play for some time. He's been solid in 2016-17, going 19-10-8 with a .921 save percentage, 2.27 GAA and three shutouts.
Nights like these won't help Jonathan Bernier 01-22-2017
Jonathan Bernier G ANA
Jonathan Bernier probably can't expect to get much benefit of the doubt after nights like Saturday, when he had a rough go of things as the Minnesota Wild beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3. Bernier made it through 45:38 of game time, allowing four goals on just 20 SOG a week after he generated a 26-save shutout. Gibson allowed a goal on five SOG and may have suffered an injury against the Wild.
Cam Fowler had a strong night in Ducks defeat 01-22-2017
Cam Fowler D ANA
The Anaheim Ducks really can't blame Cam Fowler for their 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild from Saturday. Fowler scored a goal and an assist as the Ducks asserted early control over the eventual loss. Fowler's 10 goals match a career-high form his rookie season in 2010-11, while he also has 15 helpers in 2016-17. With 25 points and plenty of time remaining in this campaign, he could very well match or exceed 40 points, a career-high also registered from his first season.
Wild get 2 G from Jason Zucker, Erik Haula 01-22-2017
Jason Zucker RW MIN
The Minnesota Wild can thank Jason Zucker and Erik Haula most of all for their comeback, 5-3 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. Early in the second period, the Ducks had gone up 3-1. Zucker and Haula keyed much of the rally from there, as Zucker now has 14 goals on the season while Haula has nine. Ryan Suter scored the game-winner, his seventh of 2016-17. Suter also had two assists on the night.
Devan Dubnyk moves to second in NHL with 25 W 01-22-2017
Devan Dubnyk G MIN
Only Sergei Bobrovsky's 28 wins edge Devan Dubnyk's 25 after the Minnesota Wild beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on Saturday. Dubnyk improved to 25-8-3 with five shutouts and an outstanding .935 save percentage after this victory. In this instance, he can thank his goal support in Minnesota, which seems to have been picking up lately. Dubnyk has a strong chance of exceeding his career-best of 36 wins, set in his breakthrough 2014-15 campaign between the Coyotes and Wild.
Ben Bishop mauled by Coyotes in loss 01-22-2017
Ben Bishop G TB
Ben Bishop faced only 17 shots, gave up five goals, and was pulled at the end of the second period as the Lightning lost a 5-3 contest to the Coyotes Saturday night. This was Bishop's worst outing of the season. His previous low water mark came back on October 20 when he gave up four goals 16 shots against the Avalanche for a save percentage of .750. With this loss to the Coyotes, he dropped to .706. Andrei Vasilevskiy stepped into the crease for the third period and was perfect against six shots.
Namestnikov, Palat rally but lose to Yotes 01-22-2017
Vladislav Namestnikov RW TB
Vladislav Namestnikov and Ondrej Palat scored in the third period, but their rally was insufficient to lift the Lightning as they lost 5-3 to the Coyotes Saturday. The Bolts entered the third period with a 5-1 deficit and might have fared better if they had managed to get on the board earlier. Namestnikov scored at the 9:45 mark with an assist from Palat and Valtteri Filppula. Palat's goal came at the 14:18 mark during a power play. This was Namestnikov's sixth goal of the season and the 10th for Palat.
Kari Lehtonen fades late, loses to Caps 01-22-2017
Kari Lehtonen G DAL
Kari Lehtonen faced only 22 shots Saturday night and gave up four goals as the Stars lost 4-3 to the Capitals. Lehtonen gave up one goal on nine shots in the first period before his offense rattled off three unanswered points. While they were on the other end of the rink taking shots at Philipp Grubauer, Lehtonen had to face only four pucks in the second. Michal Neuvirth gave up three goals on 25 shots Saturday night and failed to go the distance as the Flyers lost 4-1 to the Devils. Neuvirth has only two complete games in his last six efforts. One of these was a 6-3 loss to the Bruins January 14. The next night against the Capitals, he was brought in for 13 minutes and made five saves on five shots, but that abbreviated game is wedged between two truly disappointing efforts with a GAA of 5.06 against the Bruins and Saturday night's 4.50 against the Devils.
