Deadlines and Stat Week

During the Contest, modifications must be made before 7:00 PM CT each Monday in order to be effective for the upcoming stat week (consisting of games played between Monday through Sunday).

In the event that a game starts before 7:00 PM CT on Monday, the players involved in the early games will lock 5 minutes before the scheduled start of their game.

At the deadline, your team is locked in for the upcoming week. Any modifications made after the deadline do not take effect until the following week. Your team carries over from week to week, if you do not make any modifications. The first deadline for modifying your team during the Contest is Monday, April 2, 2018. Check game schedule for staggered game times on Monday, April 2nd.

Before the Contest entry deadline (11:40 AM CT, Thursday, March 29, 2018), all modifications to your team (taxi squad switches, new player purchases, swing pitcher shifts and DH shifts) are free and unlimited. However, players on teams who have a game prior to the deadline on Monday, April 3rd, will lock 5 minutes before the scheduled start of their game.

Special Player Change Deadline for the All-Star Break

Due to the All-Star Break, player changes for the week of July 16th may be made until 6:00 PM CT Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Taxi Squad Switch

A taxi squad switch occurs when you replace a player in your starting lineup with a player from your taxi squad. Taxi squad switches are unlimited during the Contest and must involve players listed at the same position. Taxi squad switch example: "Start Gary Sanchez, Taxi JT Realmuto."

New Player Purchase

A new player purchase occurs when you add a new player to either your starting lineup or taxi squad and drop a player from your team. You can purchase any listed or unlisted player not on your current team. New player purchases are limited to 16 during the Contest and must involve players listed at the same position when you are dropping a player from your starting lineup. New player purchase example: "Purchase Miguel Cabrera, Drop David Wright."

Swing Pitcher Shifts

A Swing Pitcher shift occurs when you move a swing pitcher in your starting lineup to another position in your starting lineup. Swing Pitcher shifts are unlimited during the Contest and must be accompanied by a taxi squad switch and/or a new player purchase. Swing Pitcher shift example: "Shift Madison Bumgarner to starting pitcher for Corey Kluber. Start Aroldis Chapman at swing pitcher, Taxi Corey Kluber."

DH Shifts

A DH shift occurs when you move a DH player in your starting lineup to another position in your starting lineup. DH shifts are unlimited during the Contest and must be accompanied by a taxi squad switch and/or a new player purchase. DH shift example: "Shift Mike Trout to outfield for Brett Gardner. Start Aaron Judge at DH for Brett Gardner.

Taxi Squad Roster Expansion

Taxi squad roster expansion occurs when you add a new player to your taxi squad without having to drop a player. The new player may be either a hitter or a pitcher. Taxi squad roster expansion is limited to two per team from Tuesday, August 21, 2018, through 7:00 PM CT on Monday, August 27, 2018. Taxi squad roster expansion example: "Call up Bryce Harper."

Please note that after the taxi squad expansion, you must keep the same number of hitters and pitchers on the taxi squad for the remainder of the season. For example, if you add 2 hitters, then for the remainder of the Contest your taxi squad will have 11 hitters and 6 pitchers.

All points accumulated by the players in your starting lineup, regardless of what position they actually play during the Contest, contribute to your team's point total.

Pitchers' hitting points do not count. Hitters' pitching points do not count.

Points by a player on your taxi squad, points by a player before being added to your team, and points by a player after being dropped from your team do not contribute to your team's point total.

Preseason, All-Star game and post-season points do not contribute to your team's points totals.

Statistics will be used from playoff games, if needed, to decide post-season teams, division winners, or seeding in the post-season.
