Cowboys to extend Zack Martin before Week 1 05-26-2018
Zack Martin OG DAL
The Cowboys expect to extend contract-year RG Zack Martin before the start of the season.

Sports Illustrated
Martin is skipping OTAs over his contract. He's pushing for a deal that will pay in $13 million-plus annually. A first round pick in 2014, Martin has made the Pro Bowl the last four seasons and should become the highest paid guard in the league.
Bucs could take 'gamble' on Adrian Peterson 05-26-2018
Adrian Peterson RB FA
Florida Football Insiders reports the Bucs may have interest in free agent Adrian Peterson.

Florida Football Insiders
The Bucs were linked to Peterson last offseason before he signed with the Saints. Peterson has played most of his career in West Coast schemes and is a fit for Dirk Koetter's offense. Tampa has a talented but unproven tandem of second-rounder Ronald Jones and Peyton Barber atop their depth chart. Taking a flyer on Peterson would add an early-down veteran to the backfield mix.
Allison the Packers' 'de facto' No. 3 wideout 05-26-2018
Geronimo Allison WR GB
According to ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky, Geronimo Allison is currently Green Bay's "de facto" No. 3 receiver.
We would agree. Allison is entering his third season and is the elder statesman of the group behind Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. Allison has flashed big skills at times his first two seasons but did little with Brett Hundley last year. He'll face competition from rookie draft picks J'Mon Moore, Equanimeous St. Brown, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling for snaps out wide.
Chargers CB Verrett (knee) still not cleared 05-26-2018
Jason Verrett CB LAC
Chargers CB Jason Verrett (knee) has yet to be cleared to practice at OTAs.
Verrett played in one game last season before being shut down and needing another surgery on the same knee he tore his ACL in in 2016. The former first-rounder was one of the best corners in the league before getting hurt two seasons ago, and he's barely played since. It's unclear what his role is going to be this year with Casey Hayward, Trevor Williams, and Desmond King at corner.
Jordan Willis expected to be Bengals' RDE 05-26-2018
Jordan Willis DE CIN
Second-year DE Jordan Willis is expected to take over as the Bengals' "every-down" right end.
Willis won Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior before being picked in the third round of last year's draft. He played 360 snaps as a rookie, receiving strong marks from Pro Football Focus for his run defense, and Willis tested extremely well athletically before the draft. Veteran RE Michael Johnson is expected to move to a backup role, while Cincy also used a third-rounder on DE Sam Hubbard this year. 2017 fourth-rounder Carl Lawson will be in the mix, too.
Beat writer expects 'solid year' for WR Boyd 05-26-2018
Tyler Boyd WR CIN
Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website expects WR Tyler Boyd to man the slot for Cincinnati and "also get some looks on the outside."
Boyd missed time last season with a sprained MCL and also was a healthy scratch at times, as Hobson notes the receiver and the coaches didn't completely see eye to eye. Hobson anticipates Boyd being a beneficiary of new full-time OC Bill Lazor's offense and expects the third-year wideout to have a "solid year." The Bengals need some of their young receivers to step up.
