Komarov had just one goal in 32 games before tonight's contest, so the offensive outburst was a little unexpected. He's up to seven goals and 18 points in 68 games this season. Trenton Bourque D STL
Jesper Bratt, who was a healthy scratch Sunday, may be hitting the proverbial wall in his first NHL season.

Newark Star-Ledger
Bratt has played in Sweden until this season and has been limited in games played as well as travel. But after a great start to the season, Bratt had only two points in 14 February games and has really slowed down. "Bratt's a young guy, he's had a good year. There are some things in his game we'd like to see better," coach John Hynes said. "So it's like we do with lots of young players that have been here. It's been three in four days basically, so it's an opportunity for him to take a night off." Bratt has 13 goals and 34 points in 64 games this season.

Drake Caggiula LW EDM
Drake Caggiula has struggled this season.

Edmonton Sun
The Oilers forward was a healthy scratch Saturday and is having a tough go of it this season as he has eight goals and 14 points in 50 games. He has been wearing a full cage the last month after losing four teeth when he smashed his face during a game but hopes the dentist will allow him to take it off this week. He has been all over the lineup, seeing first line time and fourth line action at different times this season. "I'm not sure where I fit," admitted Caggiula. "I'm still trying to figure that out. I've played left-wing, right-wing. Played on the first line, the fourth line, been a healthy scratch. I think I can contribute more offensively in a top-nine role, but have to do it more consistently. I have to have more to show for what I've done."

It has not been the same this year as Talbot is 22-26-2 with a 3.12 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Thomas Schemitsch D FLA
Zach Werenski's goal on Friday snapped a 25 game goalless drought.

Columbus Dispatch
The defenseman last scored on December 29 and was leading all defensemen in goals at the time with 11. He has been passed in the race and now sits tied for fourth, three behind the leader P.K, Subban who has 15. "I started the season scoring a lot of goals right off the bat, and I thought I would have hit that a lot earlier than I did," said Werenski. "That's part of the game. A lot of good players go through slumps like that, but I'm happy to be out of it. Hopefully I can get some more and help this team in this playoff race. When we're not scoring a lot of goals, it's good for defensemen to be able to contribute some and help this team win." He has 29 points this season in 62 games, a far cry from last season's 47.

Micheal Ferland LW CAL
The Calgary Flames are hoping that Micheal Ferland (upper body) is able to play on Monday.

Calgary Sun
Ferland has missed the last four games and that has taken its toll on the Flames top line as Johnny Gaudreau is pointless in his last four and fellow linemate Sean Monahan has a goal. Both are minus-four and miss their linemate. "If I'm a betting man right now, he's going to be in on Monday," coach Gary Gulutzan said. "He'll be on the trip. Everything's a go as long as there are no setbacks." Ferland has 20 goals and 34 points in 61 games this season. Get him back in your lineup.

Silfverberg has 15 goals and 29 points in 61 games and is a fringe fantasy player in the deepest of leagues.

Martin Jones gets pulled in loss to CBJ 03-05-2018
Martin Jones G SJ
Martin Jones stopped 10 of 13 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jones lasted just over 25 minutes before being pulled in favor of Aaron Dell down 3-0 in the second period. The Sharks responded by scoring the game's next two goals but Artemi Panarin's empty netter with just under a minute remaining in regulation sealed it for Columbus. The Sharks are off until Thursday, giving Jones a few days to get right for a matchup with the St. Louis Blues. San Jose's starting goaltender now has a 21-17-6 record with a 2.54 goals-against-average and a .916 save percentage.

Two-goal night for Artemi Panarin in win 03-05-2018
Artemi Panarin LW CLB
Artemi Panarin scored two goals in a 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks. Panarin was in a perfect spot to tip home Ian Cole's point shot for his 19th of the year. Panarin followed that up with an empty net goal with just under a minute remaining in regulation to put the game to bed. The Russian forward was a bit of a wild card entering the year because many were concerned how he'd perform without star forward Patrick Kane alongside him. He has proved his doubters wrong so far by picking up 20 goals and 55 points in 66 games this season. Nick Foligno and Sonny Milano also scored in the win.
Evander Kane gets another two points 03-05-2018
Evander Kane LW SJ
Evander Kane picked up a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Kane took a feed from Joe Pavelski and fired off a quick shot below Sergei Bobrovsky's glove to get the Sharks to within one midway through the third period. Since being acquired from the Buffalo Sabres, Kane has picked up a goal and five points in three games, bringing him to 21 goals and 45 points in 64 games. So far Kane has been worth the price tag the Sharks paid for him and they'll continue to lean on him down the stretch of the regular season. Joonas Donskoi scored his 12th goal of the year in the loss.
